Who: 3rd-5th Graders (Competition teams limited to 4th-5th Graders only)
When: Tuesdays, 3:00 - 4:30 pm starting September 1 (Additional Team Practices Thursdays, 3:00 - 4:30 pm)

The Robotics Club is a fun and hands-on program where students explore the exciting world of robotics! The robotics club combines hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
This year, we are thrilled to kick off our first-ever competitive robotics teams using the VEX IQ platform! VEX IQ embodies student-centered learning which means members take full ownership of designing, building, coding, documenting, and strategizing. Working together, team members will design and engineer their robot to score as many points as possible within one minute. No matter the final score, the ultimate goal is to learn and have fun!
We plan to form two competition teams consisting of 5 students per team subject to a tryout. These competition teams will represent our school in robotics competitions which run from September until February or late April, depending on the progress of the teams. Competition events are typically held one Saturday a month for approximately 8 hours. This year's VEX IQ game is called Level Up.
All team members must familiarize themselves with the Level Up Game Manual. Ideal candidates for the competition teams include members with prior robotics, building, programming, writing, or STEM experience, motivation to learn, and parents who will actively support the teams. Competition team members are expected to participate in at least 3 competition events and to attend practices regularly throughout the season.
