What is Name That Book?
Name that Book is a district wide competition based on reading specific books and then taking part in a competition where the kids must name the book specific quotes are from. It's fun and challenging and the kids love it!
There are two clubs here at West U, a PK-2 grade club and a 3-5 grade club. We will be hosting an interest meeting for both clubs in the PK rooms on Thursday September 3rd from 3-4pm, if your student is PK-2 a parent must attend with them but 3-5 grade students can attend without a parent. We would recommend the parents attend the interest meeting however to see if the club works for your child and family.
How to Join: We'll have more information regarding club meeting days soon and will post here as well as reviewing at the meeting. Everyone is welcome to take part in the Fall clubs and there will be a tryout for each team respectively. Only K-2 students are allowed to tryout for the K-2 team but Pre-K students are welcome to attend Book Club. Once the team is chosen starting in January, the practices will be a little more intense and frequent in the lead up to the actual competition.
